What is Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome?
Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome is a type of nerve compression condition affecting the posterior tibial nerve.
The posterior tibial nerve travels down the lower leg and passes behind the inside of the ankle through a narrow passage called the tarsal tunnel.

What Are The Symptoms Of Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome?
Common Symptoms
Burning Pain: A burning sensation may occur around the inside of the ankle or bottom of the foot.
Tingling: Pins-and-needles sensations may travel into the sole or toes.
Numbness: Reduced sensation may occur in parts of the foot.
Pain Along the Inside of the Ankle: Discomfort may be felt where the nerve passes through the tarsal tunnel.
