What is Piriformis Syndrome?
Piriformis Syndrome is a condition in which the piriformis muscle, located deep in the buttock, irritates or places pressure on the nearby sciatic nerve. This can cause pain in the buttock that may spread down the back of the thigh and, in some cases, further into the leg.
